I’ve just noticed that the suggested friends section has gone mad. Every time I log in or refresh the page I get another 5 suggested friends some from the other side of the world. This is a very annoying feature, I don’t want suggested friends, not interested. How can I stop this feature?

Hi @Alan.

You can't remove this at the moment - however there's a request to add that option, you can vote for it here:

What’s even more annoying is the fact that you are being suggested to people whom you never met… never had any contact with… and whom you know nothing about.   If that’s not an invasion of privacy, I don’t know what is.

It’s completely nuts. I keep seeing “fan favorites” and “local legends” suggestions, all of whom do not engage in my usual sport, and many of whom are located 3000 miles away. In other words, all of them, I do not F-ing care.

What a horrid “feature upgrade”.

Who did Strava beta-test this feature on?

All these Fan Favorites (half the time located on a different continent) and Local Legends (all doing sports I don’t care about) have made it extremely easy to ignore the suggested friends. Now I know that I have absolutely zero interest in connecting with any of the suggestions and I can just delete them all.

Now everything I see in my recommended connections is a Fan Favorite or Local Legend. All of whom, WTF do I care?

No longer any “friends of friends” or such like as in the not distant past (two weeks ago).

Strava’s recommended friends never made a lot of sense, but now it’s in ‘ignore everybody we suggest’ territory.
