Tagging someone in a post or comment results in janky UI and their first name gets deleted

This is an Android bug. 

 

Repro steps:

Scenario 1: 

  • Create an activity (either through syncing from Garmin or manually)
  • Tag someone in the post (e,g, “@Bob Smith”)
  • Notice that a second or two afterwards the tagged person’s first name disappears (so just “Smith” is shown) and if you are still typing, the cursor often jumps around. It’s unclear at this point if the person is actually tagged or not.

Scenario 2:

  • Same as above, but in the comment section of a post instead of post description

Repro rate: 100%

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue you experienced above.
Can you confirm if you’re still experiencing this issue?

Also, can you double check if you have the latest version of the app installed?

@Bryant Yes, I’m still experiencing this issue. I am on the latest version of the app and I’ve had this issue for several months at least. I’ve attached two pictures of before/after tagging someone (sometimes it takes a few seconds for their name to get truncated).

I have the same problem. I am using the latest version of Strava and Android 15 (OxygenOS 15) but have had the problem for several months.
