I've reported the same athlete several times and nothing has been done.
Plus, the reporting process is terrible: why not create a form?
Every time I've reported someone, Strava's AI has misunderstood my message.
I filed a report again, and it was set to SOLVED without any action.
What's the point?
If STRAVA is short on people to analyze activities, they can hire me. I can do a much better job than this AI.
Hi
there actually is a form - select the “Report or flag data” category:

Hi
there actually is a form - select the “Report or flag data” category:
https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=62210
I tried, I used exactly your link and look at the result:
Do you have other idea?

That’s doesn't look right... 🤔 by any chance, do you have more tickets open? I’ve seen someone mentioning that multiple tickets would be merged and all but one get closed (as duplicates), you should see all your tickets here: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/requests
If it's not it, let's try to find a way to escalate the ticket, I totally agree it shouldn't get just closed without any action.
I have another one, but for a different athlete... I've had one open for over 10 days with no response.
I created a follow-up using different language, like cheater, scammer, and other such things.
This type of fraud is problematic; these fake workouts force real athletes to run longer distances to win, increasing the risk of injury. I have a friend who almost got injured competing with the athlete I'm reporting as a cheater, and she was cheating back then and continues to do so today. 😞
Amazing!!!! The guy I reported for creating fake activities just won the G-SHOCK Strava challenge in Brazil. See some activities:

That’s awful indeed 😞 I’ve asked a moderator to have a look at this thread and if possible escalate your ticket internally. (I'm a fellow Strava user like yourself and have no access to Support tickets and such; the moderators are from Strava though, so hopefully they'll be able to help out here.)
I don't really mind losing a challenge, but it's really sad to see people winning unfairly.
I really enjoy challenges, but it's hard to compete when Strava's reporting system is fragile, slow, and inefficient. I hope this can change, and I'd like to help in this process.
Hey
I do apologize you’ve experienced this inconvenience.
As
However, I’ve escalated your most recent open ticket ending in 738 so someone can begin investigating soon.
Lastly, we appreciate your feedback on athlete reporting.
I will share this with the team as well so we can improve your experience moving forward.
Thank you so much for your patience & cooperation!
Thank you
I hope the new actions could be more effective... in my opinion, the least would be a ban. And I'll explain why:
The last athlete I reported, and support said they would investigate (Request No. 3330709 - May 3, 2025), is the same one who is cheating again and won a challenge on the verified FILA BRASIL CLUB, committing the same type of fraud. In other words, if any action was taken, it wasn't enough (you can see the athlete's profile link in Request No. 3492844 - August 12, 2025, which remains open).
Her fraud is very simple: she takes old activities, changes the date, and adds them manually. She did this repeatedly, so she is a cheater. I don't understand why Strava wants to keep this type of person. We need strong action!
I still think the request form needs updating, for example, with space to submit activities and explain the issue.
Additionally, it would be helpful to have feedback on the actions taken, because, as I mentioned before, the last athlete I reported (May 3) continues to cheat and just won a real challenge by deceiving the administrators of a verified Strava club in Brazil.
I enjoy challenges, and I'll continue participating and reporting cheaters, so it would be great to improve this process. If I quit, the cheaters will win twice.
Thanks
English isn't my first language, so it's hard to express my feelings. It's really frustrating to see people cheating and have no way to prevent it.
Strava is my main social network; I like to keep track of my activities and keep up with my friends.
I appreciate the work of everyone at Strava and hope to contribute to improving this community.
Just to demonstrate how easy it is to see that an activity is fake, here is a training session of people I am reporting (Request No. 3492844), and if you want I can send at least 5 more activities where they did the same thing. And I think, the first (2023) is also fake.
