Issue:

While creating club events for the next few weeks of runs, I noticed that I can no longer access all of my Routes from the dropdown menu in the “Create a Club Event” window. It appears to show only the most recent ~20 routes. This is a new bug since at most 6 weeks ago, as that was the last time I queued-up a bunch of runs for my club (and I didn’t have this problem when I made those club events).

 

Useful info:

-This happens in desktop mode, not in the app (I use Android).

-As a temporary workaround, I am making my events in desktop mode and then editing them in the app to include the correct Route, but this takes about double the time that it normally would and can become frustrating.

-I went through all of my routes and “starred” only the ones I use for my club, hoping that the dropdown menu would use only the “starred” routes. But that did not seem to solve the problem.

 

Bonus Suggestion:

Is there a way to make the “Route” field have a search function (keyword search for all routes saved in my account)? Then I wouldn’t have to worry about reaching a limit for the dropdown menu and I also wouldn’t have to scroll and search for each route for different every different run we host. Thoughts?

 

 

having exactly the same issue in the last few days, whereby I can only see a handful of my routes when trying to create a club event. Completely agree that having a search function would be the best result to save scrolling.

I’ve been notified by the team this is working as expected.
There was an update around this feature that allowed trail runs routes to appear in the dropdown list for web. By adding the new activity type, web will now pull a limited amount of the latest updated/created routes.


With the new udpates. Web browser version has lost a lot of features.

  1. Unable to assign organiser/ride leader for club events
  2. Unable to locate starting point
  3. routes are limited 
  4. creating event on phone app will occasionally crash “something went wrong”

Work around is using the phone app but not as quick and inuitive as web browser version.

1 and 3 doesn’t work on phone app either.


Having the same problems, quite frustrating when you have to create 7+ weekly club rides a week

Quick update:

 

It looks like this issue (or at least the issue I started this thread to discuss) has been resolved. Specifically, all of my routes now populate in the “route” dropdown menu when I try to create a group workout in the browser interface.

 

The “Bonus Suggestion” has not been implemented, but I am no longer seeing the bug I originally reported. As such, I consider this resolved.

 

Please continue to use either this thread or another thread in the community hub to discuss other bugs related to this UI “update”. For example, @arnimaniacs mentioned that this UI change has removed the ability to assign a different organizer/leader to a workout; as far as I can tell, this has NOT yet been resolved.
