Why is it Mobile ONLY? It's far easier to inspect, plan, and choose a route on a large screen, so why is there a discrepancy between the web and mobile in terms of route planning, when it's definitely easier on the web?

The thing is, there are a few of them, the one you said is from 2 years ago and there is one from a year ago.
My question is more like, why didn’t we get the feature in 2 years since requesting. When it’s a wanted one and it was requested multiple times.

If you look at the list of ideas open for voting, you'll find many even older. (Though the forum content was transferred at one point so all the oldest ones look like from 2 years ago.)
And many of them have way more votes.
I don't have any insight in Strava’s product management decision making but in general, all software companies would follow one simple rule: prioritise whatever brings revenue, deprioritise what doesn't. Simple as that...
+1Ok, my misunderstanding, I thought the suggested routes were from other pp so it was like the same in my mind. I was really frustrated yesterday when I made my vacation plans and had to use multiple devices, including my phone and PC, and other apps, which tested my patience.(so that was more like a rant ( ´ ꒳ ` )
