I’ve just noticed that if I cycle to work (and mark it as a commute as a result), I can no longer see how many calories I’ve burnt. Instead calories gets replaced with CO2 saved.

I mean, that’s great, I don’t mind seeing that, but why hide my calories? That’s literally why I record my bike trips, so I can add the calories burnt to MyFitnessPal. You have the data, just show it! Sure, I know roughly how many kCal my usual route takes - but I don’t always go the same route!

Hi @Anton,

it’s because there's a limited number of metrics displayed, and Strava prioritises them based on various criteria. So e.g. on run activities with significant elevation, the grade adjusted pace takes priority; or, as in your case, at commute activities it's the saved CO2.

If you’d like to change this, you can vote and comment here:

Also, you should still be able to see the calories on the web version of Strava if needed.

@Jana_S It’s not a feed (only) problem, the kcal was completely removed from the app for commutes some time ago.

@Anton You could also vote for

because it doesn’t really make sense to display only 6 stats at all for an activity in the app.

Oh, I’ve somehow mixed the two ideas together, sorry - they kinda support each other, to my defense. 😀 But the calories that were “pushed out” by the CO2 saved still are in the web version, right? (I hope they are!)

@Jana_S Of course, if they were in the feed that would be enough too. And the workaround in the browser still works:
