I know it is a small thing but it is one of those things that is quite annoying about Strava. You know that situation when you finish a run and notice that it is very close to a round number of miles, than you run a bit further to make it e. g. 5 miles. Then it uploads to Strava and shows as 4.99 miles in some parts of the app and 4.9 miles in other parts of the app (e. g. the training calendar). Can Strava stop doing that?

Yeah, i just checked. Had a track workout and the FIT file has a total distance of 10.000m. Strava shows it as 9.99 km. Why? Does Strava revaluate the distance from GPS?

I learned a hard lesson yesteday.

I got hit by the Strava tax on a great 10K race I ran yesteday. Garmin recorded 9,998.24 meters, which of course is less than a 10K but the Garmin said it was a 10K since there is a +/- accuracy for GPS while Strava said… no you ran 9.99 KM, have a nice day. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂... all I can do is laugh.
