Per reporting from 404 Media, ICE is using an “open source intelligence” tool called ShadowDragon that is scraping Strava data to track people. https://www.404media.co/the-200-sites-an-ice-surveillance-contractor-is-monitoring/

Mozilla Foundation is calling for the companies whose data is used to block the scraping by ShadowDragon and similar tools that the US government is using to work around 4th Amendment civil liberties protections. https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/campaigns/no-data-for-surveillance-tech/

What actions is Strava taking to blocking ShadowDragon?

@DragonShadowStrava does not have agreements with open source intelligence tools like ShadowDragon. Strava’s Acceptable Use Policy also makes clear that collecting or harvesting information about users is prohibited.
