The wind in the weather always seem to be inaccurate can this be rectified 

Strava can’t change it if your local weather information is inccorrect. You could try 3rd party apps like mywindsock.com or klimat.app to enrich your activity with weather information, maybe those use other weather stations than Strava’s weather provider does.
