It would be really useful to enable the ability for your users to edit an activity they have completed.  Stats that could be added would include time, distance, elevation gain, heart rate, calories etc.

Sometimes we forget to start an activity but when we remember to add it we have to let it run for the whole duration so it records the time spent on that activity. For example today I did pilates, I forgot to start the activity, so I added it later but I only let it run for 6 seconds rather than the 45 mins thinking I could stop the activity, have it uploaded to my time line and simply edit the duration to 45 min. Sadly this does not seem possible. I'm sure other users would like to be able to amend their session so it can be adjusted to reflect time, distance and duration for other activities. So hopefully this makes sense and other users will find this feature equally useful. Thank you.

Add a "Missing Miles" field to activities where users could manually *add* any distance, time,  and/or elevation to any activity that they forgot to record a portion of. For some of my runs, I accidentally forget to record a small amount. If I want to add that back into my log, I have to add a whole activity. But simply being able to add something like 0.3 mi, 2:30 min:sec, and 50 feet to an activity that I accidentally had my watch stopped for would be a nice little feature. The added distance/time/elevation would show up in the totals for the activity and the weekly/yearly/lifetime totals for the user, but it wouldn't go to count for any course records or personal records.

Love this idea!

This should be a no brainer! I don't want a garmin entry and then a manual entry for the same workout. I use gyms when travelling and it would be great to be able to simply add the distance to the workout with my HR data after it uploads from Garmin Connect.

I would really like to have the ability to edit running distance as well as the "moving time". My Xiaomi Smart Band Pro isn't accurate and, comparing to the treadmill, I lose a lot of distance which isn't good if you're trying to go for exactly 5K or 10K. Today, instead of 82 minutes, it recorded 200+.

Would really love to see this implemented. As someone who spins 5 days a week, it is disappointing not to be able to see my mileage stack up in Strava while I record my HR with my Garmin. I don't want to choose between HR and distance. As a software developer myself, this seems like a fairly simple feature to add, and from my research, the demand seems pretty high. Hope to see it soon.

Hmmm... I see the community brought the issue to the Strava team, but it seems there was no update on it since 2023. I use a Garmin for all of my activites that sync up to Strava perfectly... excelt for the indoor bike. Why can't we edit Indoor Bike KM instead of having to login on a laptop/computer, then add in a new activity manually, and then delete my garmin activity on Strava (which means I lose my heart rate information and zone training). Why not make it easier for a mobile edit on strava, so that I can edit my KM on an indoor ride just like a treadmill with calibrations? Would love to see this fixed!

I think this would be extremely helpful. It would solve the issue I posted a few days back regarding inaccurate times when "indoor running" on a treadmill. It would also allow us to attach the HR data to these exercising. I like 👍

Hello,

This feature will also be important for me. I train on a spin bike with Polar Flow and it automatically sends the workout data to the Strava App, unfortunately, I cannot manage the distance of my spin bike so I have to put it manually and it's very frustrating that I cannot do this inside the Strava activity. For now, I put the distance in the name of the activity so that I can track and adjust outside Strava but it would be beneficial to add the possibility to edit the distance (without impacting leaderboards) and fully use the analytics capabilities of Strava.

Any news from the development team?

Thank you,

Please allow manual elevation adjustments to treadmill/indoor activity. I don't even want it to count towards competitions, I just want it there for personal tracking purposes.

I'm missing this feature that was on Endomondo in the past.

I am sorry. But Strava seems to be totally deaf to any comments. I am strongly thinking about canceling my subscription.

@Tata55 Agree. I don't understand why this is so difficult for Strava to do. They could add a tag that says the distance has been manually updated so it does not count towards competitions.

Similarly, if you run an officially measured distance but your device / Strava activity records a different distance, it would be great to be able to edit the activity manually so it reflects the correct distance.

Most of the time, for some reason, my runs (and other users that I know) contain a higher elapsed time than the moving time, even though no stoppages have been made during the run. So the PR is wrongly based on the elapsed timeframe. For example, today I set out to obtain a PR on my 5km. I recorded 22:07 at a distance of 5.07km so technically my PR should’ve been sub 22 minutes, but instead it has recorded my elapsed time as 22:35 and my PR therefore registered as 22:11, but no stops were made, so it is not accurate. The ability to edit this would help users who have noticed errors, correct them, but the PR or segments should be re-evaluated based on the new times.

How do you know that the elapsed time is the wrong time and not the moving time? Were the 22:07 something the watch has shown (in case you used one)?
