Most cyclists think in terms of kilometres. Most runners in the UK and US think in terms of miles. My thinking is with the most, so I have my Garmin set to display kilometres cycling and miles running. But Strava forces me to choose one or the other. This poses me a problem: as a cyclist I do not understand how far or fast a ride is when distance and speed are expressed in miles, while as a runner I do not understand how far and fast a run is when distance and pace are expressed in kilometers! Please could you fix it so that I can display my rides in kilometers and my runs in miles, just as I do on my Garmin. Thanks!

@Paul_F Thanks, I requested this feature myself today, and Strava seem to have merged my request and your request. No idea why it just posted the link, but this is a feature I am after living in the UK where distance is Miles but height is in Metres. I guess being an American app its all imperial. With the amount of money, we are paying for Strava this feature should not be taking a year to implement. Have these guys not heard of DevOps??

Has there been any progress on setting different unit of measure for different activities?  I would really appreciate this ability.  My membership renewel is coming up in a few weeks and am hopeful this will done soon.

i add my support for this feature, although i ride in MPH and would like to run in KM. Having units for different sports would be a brilliant feature, and is sadly missed.

I wish I could have my runs displayed in miles (imperial) and my swims in meters (metric). As it stands I can only have one or the other for all activities.

Yes good idea. I like to measure my runs in kilometres, but bike rides in miles!

I definitely agree! I don’t know why this isn’t a standard feature to be honest

Especially important for other types like swimming vs cycling, I always work in miles for cycling but yards for swimming makes no sense to me!

Absolutely this. Drives me nuts. I work in miles and min/mile and mph for running and cycling but in metres and min/100m for swimming and it really annoys me that I am forced to look at my swim stats in yards!

It's a very simple change that will help people ascertain their performance in a sport, which would make it easier for them to interpret.

It's very clear that different sports, individuals and geographical locations use different systems of measurement.

Strava should appreciate this for their internationally used platform

Strava can simply allow their users to select what system of measurement would help them best to monitor their performance in a particular category of activity.

How many upvotes is required for this to be sorted is not a measure of importance. It's just common sense!

Agree!!!! I think in miles for cycling and running but metres for swimming (as pool lengths in the uk are standard 25m or 50m).

Swimming in metres, but walking/running in miles. This would be a great feature.

Swimming = meters / Biking = miles!

Please add "Statute" units option as per Garmin Connect for your UK users.  All units metric except cycling distance which is to be miles.

Be able to set metric units for elevation and imperial units for distance. Or vice versa.

Same I want meters for swimming but miles for running. Can’t be that hard to implement
