I'm start to being a strava suscriber thinking about that this was integrated... but it doesn't so hope this can be a new feature soon...

Create challenges by the club, not by the person.

Other things that would be nice: allow to join only members of the club and allow to update a photo for better experience (like strava club challenge do and some few verify clubs too). When the runner complete or win the challenge they take and show it like a trophy too.

Thanks

this would be a cool feature if Strava club can set start and end date, then the target (distance / elevation / time/ etc)

Over a year's worth of interest to have this accomplished with 45+ comments, each with fantastic feedback on feature implementations. Would love to see this feature set in Strava rather than us needing to utilize yet another app that would convolute our already app-heavy fitness lives.

We enjoy using Strava.

Help us, help you, help us.

Agreed. Can't believe there's been no movement on this when it's such an obvious feature that Strava users assume it's there and then are dumb-founded when it still isn't - as you say A YEAR after we've been banging on about this. Surely it would be a pretty easy add to the app? And has immediate knock-on effect of growing our clubs/adding Strava users! Especially if the challenges can be set to public so others can join them. At the moment, I have a club, don't use it because I can't run challenges, so I have NO REASON to advise students/instructors to join Strava. That would be different if I could encourage them to join a challenge. Why's it still not flipping possible????

I'm honestly surprised that this still hasn't been implemented, even though it's been a year and a half. It feels like such a missed opportunity, especially considering the potential it holds to encourage colleagues to engage in physical activities and attract new users for dowloading and using Strava. It's disheartening to see how heavily discussed and supported the idea is, yet there's been no update whatsoever. What's going on? Do we really need to migrate our Clubs to different platforms??

Adding yet another frustrated vote...how is this still not a feature to be able to add club specific challenges??

Hi @Jane @Soren

I trust you are both well - Happy Friday.  Has there been any movement on this idea?

I have a company club with over 300 members using Strava. This feature will really help us simplify our running activities.

Hope to get an update soon.

This would be a fantastic feature. Has there been any recent updates to this?

I’m in Manhattan running a kayak, surfski and paddleboarding club on the Hudson River. Only a few members use Strava and they asked me - the club owner - to start a distance challenge. We have ~100 NYC members and ~10k visitors each summer, and most are not using Strava.

We are aghast to see that the costs is $30k to start a challenge on Strava! I suppose that’s meant for a corporation to spread their brand. For us, that’s never going to happen.

Strava should consider that, by allowing us - an existing organizer - to run a challenge, we would push our members to subscribe to Strava, show them how to use it, compel them to use it for every outing, and keep them engaged with our challenge leaderboard. Also, because we’d want to minimize UX complaints, would give feedback to Strava from our members and team on how to make stuff better.

As an alternative to managing our challenge on Strava, we will do own mileage tracker and leaderboard on our website.

Group events for clubs are perfect to share a route and date, but it would be great to also specify which segments (Sprint or KOM) will count for a “group ride leader board”

A possible interface could list all segments along a planned route, and offer to select a personalized subset for the event. After the event a list could show the GC and segment leaders.

Is there an update on club challenges? Seems like a no brainer - NRC has this feature to encourage people virtually to take part in challenges. We have a club setup for our firm, and we'd like to create monthly challenges for our colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.

Totally agree this would be great.

Group challenges mean inviting people - we don't want to have to invite a few hundred people. There are people in the club who arent followed by everyone and it in turn means having to follow the person if it's a group challenge that someone has created.

I'd like to share a link or even auto enrol club members into the challenge (preferably they should actively sign up to it though).
