Your virtural rides add to goals and totals but an ebike ride doesn't. Able to setup a goal with them added or not. I only noticed this at the end of 2022 after getting an ebike. Not sure if a subscription is worth it if I can't track my activities because STRAVA sets the rules on what is and isn't a ride.

Thanks for submitting your idea to enable factoring E-Bike ride statistics into the "All Ride" goal. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.

A friend has this already, all his ebike rides automatically add to his all rides weekly total. I thought I was doing something wrong as mine only adds human powered rides. How do I vote for this?

Hi all,

At face value, "All Ride" should include and display the total weekly mileage of road bike, mountain bike, and e-bikes. Strava's mission statement mentions "encourage(ing) healthy competition, camaraderie, and personal growth". E-bikes are 100% a sport, activity, an effort and often are ridden by older or disabled riders. There should be no discrimination against including the total distance in the weekly "All Ride" total. When I compare my growth (reason I pay for Strava), I am not seeing a cycling effort being displayed. I am currently recovering from 4 broken ribs and am riding an e-bike. I have cycled over 100 miles last week and am extremely let down this mileage is not counting towards my total. There is no doubt there was effort behind 100+ miles and over 12,000 ft of climbing. I encourage all @Soren to check out the link below. @mrop has also commented that a ride is a ride.... period. If a disabled person is riding an e-bike, is it fair to them to not count their total mileage no matter what type of bike they are riding? After all, this encourages "healthy competition, camaraderie, and personal growth"

I completely agree, I ride road, MTB and then E-Bike as my commuter as with all the added weight I carry on my ride to work the assistance riding into a steaming headwind on a commuter bike is needed in windy old New Zealand. I’m still working with an elevated heart rate, I fail to see why it can’t be added to the overall ride stats and custom goals, why can’t you multi select both e-bike and every other type of rides for custom goals, I want to set a goal to ride a certain distance every week, but I also do other activities like walking, running etc, and I don’t want those added into my ride stats due to the fact I need to select ‘All Sports’ to allow me to do something that frankly should be possible to do?

Add my vote to this.

There should be an option to show, and set goals for, all cycling activity together, something like an "All Cycling" summary view. Even better, would be the options to select which types of cycling activities to include.

I want to be able to see my total distance & time spent on a bicycle whatever kind of biking it is, all together in one place, not separated (in addition to the existing options of separate ride, e-bike, MTB etc. views). Again, it would be even better to be able to select which types of cycling activities to include.

Similarly, I also want to be able to set a cycling goal that includes all types of cycling.

Yes, please include "E-bike Ride" in the total for "All Ride" for the same reason that "Virtual Ride" is included in "All Ride.".

Please please please, add this feature.  It's really frustrating to do an e-bike ride and not have it included in my weekly mileage and my goals!

Ebike rides should be included to "all rides" so that total distance goals are included

Is a must feature as some of us are in our 70s and cant do those climbs anymore or a long day of riding. Also there are riders out there that have physical disabilities that want to ride but have to make the transition to E- bikes or other helpful bike designs for the disabled. Exercising is a must for medical recovery!

Hello @Herminio001

Thanks for posting about this.  It is possible to create a goal that includes all rides including ebike rides.  When creating a goal, look for the "combined Efforts" section and then select "All Sports". If you set your goal up in this way all types of riding will be counted towards that goal, including ebikes rides.

Thanks for the information Jane, but it doesn't solve my problem.  I don't want all sports, I just want all time spent on a bike, no matter what kind of bike.  I don't want it to include my walks and hikes.

Yes, nice to be able to do that but why can’t we just have e-bike rides included like virtual rides are?

I agree with the above requests. Why can't E-bike and E-mountain bike rides be included in all rides. They are all considered to be cycling, even if it is assisted cycling. It is not as though the E bikes are self-driven.

Would appreciate it if all rides include all forms of cycling. We also have an internal club competition based on distance cycled for the week and the stats are drawn off Strava to the detriment of the E-Bikers.

It makes no sense that you would include a virtual ride (which is a video game on an indoor bike run by electronics) and you wouldn't allow e-bikes which are real pedal outdoor bikes with a motor assist? We're paying too much now for our subscriptions to not have Strava work the way we expect it to.

Waiting for this feature.
