Sorry if this is already explained anywhere… I just can’t find it.

Need the ability to mark laps in the iOS app.

Why? Many reasons. Interval training, laps that are not 1k, etc etc.

This should be a basic feature of have thought, similar to the lap button on a stopwatch.

It should work by just clicking a button on the app. You could make it more advanced by setting laps in advance… either distance or times (intervals).

This link says that “At this time, Strava does not have a lap button”.

It also says that “If you record with a GPS device that's capable of recording laps (automatically, manually, or both) the analysis will default to lap data” - so there is already the functional ability to analyse based on lap data.

Why should I have to use a different app or hardware for this…? Especially when paying a subscription for premium.

It's really a need for all users who don't have a connected watch ! This is really important for splits and would improve training reviews.

agreed! this seems like such an obvious feature I was surprised that it wasn't yet implemented. I've read that some people use other apps that can sync to strava for this feature but it seems unnecessarily bothersome
