Allow shout outs in ongoing activities

If someone is in the middle of an activity then any comment on that activity should be treated as a shout out and come as an audio cue. With shout out comments being allowed via privacy setting to nobody, followers, all.

This was an awesome feature on Endomondo which doesn't appear to exist anywhere else

Thanks for sharing this idea. I'm not sure we entirely understand this feature request though. Do you mean that followers can comment on ongoing activities and for those to be played back through audio cues? In order for that to happen, the ability to broadcast an ongoing activity would need to be enabled first -- what do you envision that to look like? Additionally, if you're recording with a different device than the Strava mobile app, for instance, how would that be triggered? I think we're missing some more details for this request, so feel free to edit your post and include those details. Thank you!

This is true, we should have an ongoing activity being on the feed I always assumed with beacon it was there 🙂

Yes I think a comment should be played back as an audio cue ie if I comment "well done keep it up" then it could be played back to the person doing the activity.

I can only see it working with people using the app on mobile or Apple Watch, I don't know how it could work through another device. Perhaps the Garmin Strava app could be a link, again not sure what is possible as I know Garmin has a native live tracking feature.
