Chainsawing wood is exerting energy and burning calories as so is the splitting of the wood by hand with a splitting maul. You work up a sweat even in our cold Wisconsin Winter's. At 67 years old it keeps me in shape. 5' 9" and 160# pounds of dynamite. If you don't believe me try it for a day. We love using Strava for kayaking, walking, snowshoeing, biking and soon to keep track of my wood splitting and chainsawing. Thanks, David J.

There’s a lot of outdoor work work where your shirt gets wet and heart rate pretty high. Chainsaw work and splitting wood with an ax is certainly one of the best. So I definitely support this.
