Unicycling is vastly different from regular cycling as the speed in general is much lower on a unicycle. Thus the resulting data gathered from an activity on a unicycle is not comparable to a normal ride.

If road cycling and mountain biking are considered different enough to be separate, then surely unicycling should have its own category. My unicycling messes up my mountain biking data as I have to log it as that
Another supporter of adding unicycle to sports in Strava, if they can have niche activities like badminton and table tennis on there then it wouldn’t hurt to add unicycle to the mix. I no longer have a premium account because it seems like it has gotten away from being an athlete driven app (cyclists and runners) and it’s become an all inclusive app for sports that don’t take any bit of athleticism to participate in, oh well that’s how society is becoming and it’s a shame. Please add unicycling!! It is one of my favorite ways to exercise. Even though it's not super popular, I really think that it would be greatly appreciated many unicyclists!! 🙂
If unicycling were a sport, it would be easier to use Strava to find other people to ride with! Much like local cycling clubs can recruit members by having a Strava group, my local unicycling group would be thrilled to recruit new members to come to our events!
Good point ShellyM on local cycling. Would be great to be able to search prefered unicycling routes in the area to possibly ride and meet other unicyclists.
Because Strava does not offer unicycling as a sport, my Mont Ventoux Cinglés activity is categorised as a bike activity. Please add unicycling as an activity so that we can correctly categorise our performances. 😄
