I think it would be great if Strava allowed athletes to download a Yearbook Album of all of their activities and highlight photos.

What is it?

The Strava Yearbook album is basically a physical copy of all of the activities an athlete completed within a year or multiple years. The album goes in chronological order and can be customized to show multiple activities on one page if it was just a morning run or it can show one big activity on a page if it was a special event like a marathon or multiple photos.

Why is it important?

Having a physical copy of your workouts may be a special gift that athletes gift to each other to feel the weight of their workouts over a year or over multiple years. It makes the work tangible.

How does it work?

Strava partners with a third-party yearbook distributor to allow athletes to create albums based on their data. It creates a physical year in review. Put all the athletes activities in the book along with some data highlights and photos from across the Strava community.

Turn the digital into a physical photo album.

I would love this too. I found this thread when searching to see if this option is available anywhere because I had the same idea. Where is the vote?

Hi @NovaS! Yes it would be great if we can create a photo album before the end of this year.

Voting/kudos are the bottom left corner of the initial comment. Cheers!

Hi,

I've got an idea for a nice (printed) yearbook that shows you which activities you have had in a year, with details suchs as date, speed, distance, meters ascended, maybe weather, and which allows to include photo's of that ride and a map with the course.

That way, you could collect several yearbooks throughout the years and look back on all the rides you've made, in a nicely printed book.

I'd expect that it wouldn't be too hard to create a template for such a book which can be filled with a .csv file or something like that from Strava.

I've been searching online if there is already someone that offers such books, but it seems noone does and there is an opportunity here!

Just saw this after I posted a similar idea. Would be great if this would be picked up!

I have thought the same thing. I would love to be able to look back at all of my runs and see the photos and remember that day! PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Ditto! Was trying to make this happen and googled to figure out how. Please please. Or partner with like a chatbooks or a blurb.com or something to make it happen

This is great. It seems a number of us have had a similar idea, so maybe if we tell our Strava followers / clubs about it then the number of votes will increase (most of the ideas they have implemented so far seem to have had votes numbered in three figures).

I would want to be able to select exactly which of my activities appear in the book (not necessarily just confined to one calendar year) and also select which data fields and photos appear. Then click a button to print to a PDF or similar file, so I could either print at home or send out to a professional printer / publisher.

@MalcolmWills yes I love that idea of being able to select which activities appear in the year book then click a button to save it as a pdf of the activity.

Which clubs do you think will find this the most valuable?

I just did a google search to see what 3rd party apps are available. Here is a list of apps turning activities in to poster prints: https://www.strava.com/apps/prints

It is not a yearbook, but getting closer to the concept of having physical prints in one place

@Shant - I think the most popular use will be to create books as gifts, as you suggested in your original post. I mentioned the clubs as a way of networking the idea and getting more votes to push this up the priority list for Strava / app developers.

@MalcolmWills should we create a Strava club for people who want to share ideas in the app and link to get kudos in the community forum?

I love it! I'd love to have something like this. Builds loyalty with the Strava app and community.
