Activity feed shortened

Hi folks,

Has anyone else noticed that their activity feed history on the website has shortened. I can only view back about a day or so in my feed. I quite often leave it a couple of days and drop in to find out what my friends have been doing in the past few days. Now I'm finding I'm missing things. To me, it's a shame. 🙁

Hi @Pilau

Thanks for posting about this.  There has been some Engineering work going on in relation to the activity Feed.  I'm not sure if what you've experienced is related to that but it's possible.

If you don't mind, please submit a support ticket and we'll be happy to look into this further.

Yes, I am definitely noticing this. For me, one of the most important use cases for Strava is to discover new places to run. When I am not checking Strava for a few days, I am definitely missing things. Ideally I'd like to see at least a week worth of activities in the feed. What I often want to do is to open Strava on Friday and scroll back to the previous weekend to get some inspiration and ideas for the upcoming weekend long run. But that just no longer works the same way it used to work several years ago.

Hi Jane, thanks it has returned to about same quantity of history as before. So maybe yes, it was to do with the work that was going on.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Silentvoyager, Yes I'd definitely sometimes like to go a bit further back. I can see back about 3 and half days, which is about what I can normally see.

Cheers

Andy

I'd like to go back one week. One week is important in order to see the previous weekend activities from other people when planning my own run for an upcoming weekend.

And in general I don't understand why the feed can't load on demand as I scroll further down. If done right it could be endless.

I should add that when I look at the feed in a local club, it doesn't cover even one single day. I think the length of the feed is based on a number of entries rather than the time period.

My Strava just started to limit the amount of "other peoples activity history". I have used Strava for at least 4-5 years, and could always scroll backwards for maybe 10 days of history.  As of about April 20, 2023 I can now only scroll back a couple days. I am using the same Iphone so i don't think it could be memory issues. Has anything changed in the Strava app that could be causing this?

Yes. It's a shame. It only allows me to see 20 activities.

That's not a solution, submit a support ticket that will never be looked at? Strava has started to limit the number of activities shown on the Activity Feed page. There is no fix, please don't lie.

I'm having the same problem. It's limiting to one day of browsing. Not sure why it's not endless.

So the activity feeds are shortened again. What is the reason for that. Can only go back one day on people I am following.
