Activity Title Question

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Wanted to see if I get help with an activity title issue.

I'm trying to see if it's possible to not have my ride location automatically show up in the title of my ride. I will get something like "San Antonio, Texas morning ride", when all I used to get was just "morning ride." (I know this is something Strava implemented a while back and it drives me crazy.) I can completely replace the activity title, removing the location data, and it add it back in later on. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I have friends who never get the ride location in the their auto titles. I've looked at the preferences and haven't found a way so far.

Thanks for any help.

Hi @garysatx

Thanks for posting about this.  We don't add location data into activity titles on Strava.  I'm wondering if you possibly connected a third party App that might be doing this.  Do you recall if you connected a new App or integration to your Strava account right before this started happening?

Thanks for the reply.  -  I wondered if it might be a third party app that is doing this, and that it it might be Garmin Connect that's the culprit, but it's doing the same thing if I load a ride from Apple Workout. I'll investigate further into other apps.

Case cracked, I think. Looks like it is the Klimat app.
