Hello! We made a run club for our running community, but for weeks now it hasn’t let us post into the group. This has been going on since we created the group. Other members have been able to post fine, but every post we try (no matter how it is formatted, what device, what browser, with/without cache, and so on) every time we try to post it says ‘Something went wrong’.

We raised a ticket with support a month ago but just keep getting told they are working through a backlog. (Strava ticket #3469079)

Please could someone help us to get the attention of someone at strava to resolve this?! Have tried every single troubleshooting method under the sun to no avail and it is still not working.

Don’t mean to come across as pushy but we have a small following online and really want to make this group a big/inclusive space for runners, but we’re not even able to post into the group! Yet to promote it properly - but we already have over 100 people that have found the group and joined it.

Would be so so grateful for any help!!

Have tried all troubleshooting solutions and tried nagging strava support for a month now but no luck. Posting in here seems to be our final shot:

As per chat gpt: ‘Since email hasn’t worked, I’d recommend posting in the Strava Community Hub (their public forum where staff respond much quicker than to emails)’

And potential reason for this bug (?!):

‘This is almost certainly a bug with your specific club (not your device). Strava needs to refresh/reset the backend for your group.’

Further info we received from chat gpt (not saying it is correct!)

  • Strava clubs sometimes bug out, especially new ones or ones with a lot of growth fast
  • The “sorry something went wrong” error when posting is usually a server-side bug — not device, WiFi, or account-related (since you’ve already tested all that).
  • Strava support can be slow or unresponsive, but this kind of persistent posting issue is almost always on their end.

P.S. I also wasn’t able to do this post from the email associated with the account that made the run group so guessing whole account has had some kind of block on it

I’m experiencing the same thing!

I’m experiencing the same thing!

I have been pushing Strava on their X customer service account and have been replying to my ticket thread every day and still no solution! I just get told there is ‘currently a high demand’ of customer support requests. This has been ongoing for nearly 2 months now! I am going insane! Let me know if you have any luck 🤞
