Discovered yesterday/today that my mileage for this week is not showing on club stats leaderboards despite showing in club activities feed.  On closer inspection there are a number of others with activities in the club feed this week who don’t show on the leaderboard and at least one athlete who is on the leaderboard but with less milage than what they have completed this week.  This is not related to activity type.  This is not isolated to a single club.

I’ve got the same issue. My run I did on Monday doesn’t show up in any of my clubs. I do see runs from other people in those clubs. I can see my run in “recent activities” but it doesn’t show up on the leaderboards. Same for runs for other clubmembers. Some runs are visable in recent activities, but not on the leaderboard.

Looks like there was an issue somehow with my Stava data.

I solved it to toggle the checkbox “hide activities” on, saved the changes. And then unchecked the box again, and save it. Now my run showed on the leaderboard again

We are also having this problem, my run from today is showing, but no other club members are showing on this weeks leaderboard yet their activities are showing in the feed. All are open and exactly the same as last week.. very frustrating !…

weirdly, as above, maybe only my run today shows because, i have hidden the time stamp..

Hi all, thanks for reporting. A fix for this recently was pushed out by our engineering team. If the issue is still persisting, please let us know.

Yes it is still an issue. Only my posts if I hide something from the detail are showing

I did a run on Tuesday (Demeber 9th) and this run appears on the leaderboards. The run I did on Monday (December 8th) showed on the leaderboards after the toggle of the checkbox to hide it on and off, like I commented earlier today.

Still an issue. Both for runs and rides.

Strava explains that what many users perceive as a “bug” is actually the result of a new anti-cheating / integrity feature, not a technical error in the app.

What Strava says about the issue

Strava has rolled out a machine-learning–based system designed to protect the integrity of segment leaderboards and activity data. The goal is to prevent cheating and incorrect recordings from affecting rankings and comparisons.

According to Strava:

  • Every uploaded activity is now automatically analyzed.
  • The system looks at dozens of signals, such as speed, acceleration, GPS consistency, and activity type.
  • Activities that appear unrealistic or incorrectly recorded may be filtered, flagged, or removed from leaderboards.

What the system is designed to catch

Examples of activities the system targets include:

  • Cycling activities recorded as running
  • E-bike rides appearing as normal bike rides
  • Activities recorded while driving a car
  • GPS glitches that result in impossible speeds or times

Strava has said that millions of invalid or suspicious activities have already been removed from leaderboards using this system.

Why this can feel like a “bug”

For some users, the feature may cause:

  • Missing segment times
  • Activities not appearing on leaderboards
  • Results being downgraded or excluded

Strava’s position is that this is expected behavior, not a malfunction. The system is intentionally conservative to ensure fair competition.

In short

Strava explains the situation like this:

This is not a bug, but a deliberate security and integrity measure. A new AI-driven anti-cheating system analyzes activities to ensure that segment leaderboards and performance comparisons reflect real, fair efforts rather than errors or.
