"Welcome to the Community Hub" email contains an incorrect URL linking to the Hub

I just joined the Strava Community Hub and received an automated email welcoming me to the site:

“Dear username, Your account has been succesfully activated. We hope to see you soon on the Strava Community Hub.”

Below that, there’s a button titled “Go to the Community Hub” but the HREF for the button is invalid and fails. The link in the email is to <LINK REMOVED> (For privacy reasons, I’ve redacted what looks like a session UUID from this URL in the email).

The <LINK REMOVED> site redirects to <LINK REMOVED>  with no additional URL path.

Ultimately this fails to work for at least two reasons:

  • <LINK REMOVED>  is not a listed hostname for the communityhub.strava.com https certificate, so my browser complains about a security concern due to the hostname mismatch.
  • <LINK REMOVED>  just shows an “under construction” image and says the page is not currently available.
