If you’ve recently deleted an activity on Strava and would like to recover it, you can do so from the Strava website.
How to Restore a Deleted Activity
-
- On the Strava website, select “My Activities” from the drop-down menu under “Training”.
- Then, click on the “Recently Deleted” tab. You’ll see a list of your deleted activities within the last 30 days.
- On the far right side of the list of deleted activities, you’ll see the option to “Reupload” your activity. Once you click “Reupload” your activity will be restored, and you will be redirected to the “Activity Page” page for that activity.
There, you’ll be able to edit the details of your activity, add media, and adjust data the same way you would for any other activity uploaded to Strava. Please note that your activity will not restore previous comments and kudos from athletes.
Types of Activities That can be Recovered
You can only restore two types of recently deleted activities.
-
- Activities uploaded from a 3rd party device and then deleted.
- Activities created from the Strava mobile app “Record Screen” were saved and then deleted.
We cannot recover activities that have not been saved or manual entries that have been deleted. If you record an activity on the Strava app, click finish but don't save it, it is never sent to the Strava servers and, therefore, cannot be recovered.
FAQ
What happens when I recover a deleted activity?
Strava will restore only the activity data from the original file when you recover a deleted activity. You must re-add all photos, videos, titles, descriptions, and private notes to your activity.
If you have previously adjusted a setting on the activity, such as the visibility settings, you will need to adjust the newly restored activity again.
