Dashboard/Post Filter/Control

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

A couple of feature requests:

- Would love to be able to filter my activity feed to only show certain types of activities. Like maybe I'm interested in people's runs but I don't really care to see their daily walk/bike commutes?

- Same on the post side: if I could automatically post certain types but keep others private (unless I decide to post later.)

- The dream would be if I could choose to mute certain types of activities from particular people. Like maybe I like seeing when my dad takes a walk every few days. But that friend whose watch auto-posts their every step? No so much. But maybe I don't want to mute that person because I do actually want to see their runs. Just not their 30-second walk to the corner store.

Thanks! đŸ˜„

p.s. I'm in Canada, not Indonesia. Not sure what's with my location. haha

Hey @Krystle
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts & welcome to the community! These are great ideas and there are others here in our community who are in agreement with you; check out these existing ideas here:

Ability to set Default Privacy settings for specific activity types
Filter the type of activities that are shown in my feed, ability to mute specific activity types

You can head over to these ideas and add your vote (kudos) and any additional comments you would like to add regarding how you would like to see this implemented.

Please note the following:

  • We receive a large number of ideas, and even some very popular ideas will not make it to the implementation stage
  • Popular ideas (ideas that get lots of votes) will be regularly surfaced to our Product Teams for review
  • The number of votes an idea gets is only one factor that’s considered when we plan our roadmap
  • When we receive updates from our Product Teams on the status of an idea, we will share as much information as we can
  • We strive to be transparent as possible, but please remember that we may not explain or justify why we might prioritize the development of some features over others

This request was/is in multiple threads in the old forum as well as here and for well over a year with many many users making the same request some times using slightly different terminology.  I was premium member sense that was an option, but I just let that expire until this feature is implemented.  The paid features all seem to be features that other apps are already doing well and I can live with out.

Even if I was going to start using this for tacking more training data rather than for its strength which is the group / social features I would need that feed uncluttered and free of unsolicited announcements.
