I'm trying to create a new route, and there's a section of road that's a simple out and back. The creator is forcing my route into a loop, when I don't want additional roads on that section, in fact, I just want the route to follow my cursor. It didn't behave this way previously (a few months ago). What gives? Please change it back.

It may just be the way you are trying to create it. I just tried from my desktop and it worked just fine. As long as I clicked somewhere other than directly on the line of my outgoing route, it created the return along the exact same path.

+2That did it, thank you. Which is still weird, because I've created a dozen routes previously with no issue. Anyway, I'll keep it in mind for the future.
