Hi, my daughter lost access to her account in 2022. She couldn’t remember the email address or the password she used so she created another account and has been using that. Over the last week 2 activities have been logged on the original account in a different part of the country. I have commented on one asking how they have access to the account and also sent a message but no response. I have reported it as impersonation today. Anyone experience this before or have any likely explanation? Thanks.

This probably doesn't apply to you, but here's one scenario where someone else's activities can get into your account:
1.) You purchase a used Garmin device from a guy who wasn't ever a member of Garmin Connect or Strava, but his activities are still on the device.
2.) You sync the device through Garmin Connect which is tied to your Strava profile.
3.)  All the old owner's activities get pushed to your Connect and Strava.

You do seem to have some additional twists and turns.  Keep us posted.

Thanks for the response. She only used the app through her phone. Her name and profile picture are still the same and all her old activities are there just the two random ones added 🙄

Any chance that your daughter used e.g. Facebook to log into Strava (instead of using the email address & password combination)? If so, you should be able to deauthorise the login as described here: https://m.facebook.com/help/170585223002660?locale2=en_US

(note - if this is the case, she might need to also change her Facebook password, as this would indicate that someone else was able to access her account)
