My Android phone which is currently uploading my data correctly is fine but when i log into strava on my laptop it show my last activity 2018, the e mail address is correct on my laptop however the e mail address on my Phone is my old email address, when i try and change my incorrect email address on my phone strava says that it has sent an e mail to my correct gmail account but the email is never received, help me please !!

It sounds to me that you’ve ended up with two accounts.
I think you need to raise a ticket with Strava support giving them the two emails and ask if they point to the same user and if they can merge them.
Don’t forget to say which email you want to use going forwards.
