Hi all. I had a Fredericson grade 4 b Tibia stress fracture and was in moon boot and crutches for 6 weeks. I got cleared to start walking again this week. Only 3km every second day. Any advice on warming up before walking? Thanks!!!

Hey @Mrextreme,

Unfortunately, I suffered an injury that sidelined me for 7-8 months last year so I definitely understand your pain.

My advice would be to make sure you consistently do the stationary exercises your doctor/physical therapist recommends before and during your reintroduction to walking. Strengthening your muscles beforehand puts less stress on your legs once you actually begin walking and should make the process a bit easier.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Hopefully this is a minor setback for a major comeback!
