How on earth does this work? I have a Galaxy Fit 3 and Samsung Galaxy A55. I understand that you toggle on Strava as a synced service through Samsung Health. The watch and phone are synced fine. I’ve given Strava and Samsung Health all permissions, including physical activity and sensors. What shows in the Strava app when they are successfully synced? In the settings bit, I can click two different things. One - ‘Connect an app or device’ with a little watch icon. And two -Manage apps and devices’. The first opens a screen of different watches available, and I select Samsung. It then says ‘visit our support page to connect’ and has a orange ‘get started’ button at the bottom. When clicked, it’s a support post about connecting it - all of which I have done. When I press back, it briefly flashes up with ‘error connecting your device’. The wheel spins in the top right corner of the Strava app too. What do I need to do from within the Strava app to sync and connect?

Hi both,

Thanks for writing in and flagging this. Could you please try the following steps (these steps and screenshots are also available here):

1. Record your activity with the Samsung Health app and your Samsung Gear device.
2. Connect Samsung Health to Strava: From the main screen, go to "More" -> "Settings" -> "Connected Services"
3. Log into your Strava account. GPS workouts should then automatically be uploaded to Strava.

Let us know if the issue remains afterwards.

Thanks,

Marya

I’ve exactly the same and I do not know how to solve, all permissions are on on both apps, they are linked, but nothing is synced between both apps. All workouts have GPS data...

I’m experiencing the same issue. I’ve tried everything: clearing cache and data, reinstalling, rebooting, and resyncing, but nothing works. All permissions are enabled.

Previously, a couple of months ago, everything worked fine -the sync functioned properly. Then, at some point, issues started and resyncing fixed it temporarily. But now, none of these steps work—it’s quite frustrating.

I’ve noticed something that might be causing the issue. In the Samsung Health app, under "Connected Apps and Services", when I click on "Health Connect" and check the apps with "Recent Access", Strava doesn’t appear. Additionally, under "App Permissions" on the same screen, it states that six apps (in my case) have access under "Permissions and Data". However, when I click on it, two of the six apps only show blank entries. Strangely, you can still click on these blank entries to view their permissions, which are fully enabled, but there’s no indication of which apps they are. I suspect one of these could be Strava. No apps have denied access in this section.

This seems to be a configuration or script problem. Despite multiple attempts to resolve it, the issue persists.

I’ve also tried using Health Sync and even purchased the full version, but nothing has worked so far.
