Is there a way to disable “suggested rides”?

I have enough clutter on strava without it making suggestions on local rides that i already do/know.  Its almost offensive suggesting we don’t know our local rides loops/trails.

In case you mean the recommended routes in the app you can disable that by switching from “Routes” to “Map only”.

No that’s not what i meant and understand how maps work otherwise wouldn’t keep the paid subscription.  Its the gratuitous “suggested rides” advertising that appears, just like the annoying “suggested athletes” in ones feed.  Annoying as 1) i already know all my local trails and don’t need a strava algorithm to tell me to go ride them and 2) its simply more unwanted clutter in the feed.

Could you post a screenshot of such a suggested ride? I have never seen one in the app or website, so I’m curious how that looks like.

I think @MvS  means this (I currently mostly walk - it looks like Strava pushes routes recommendations for the most frequent activity)

@Jan_Mantau Since the OP didn’t respond… I think this is what he means.  I’ve ridden on this trail about 200 times since joining, and it’s advising me to do so again!  Because I obviously can’t think for myself!

@Jana_S @JBW-Florida  Thanks for the screenshots! That’s really a useless thing to have in the feed, I’m lucky I seem to be spared from this. Maybe it is tied to some unknown setting or not enabled in all regions, would be nice if someone from Strava sheds light on it.

Yes that is correct. Useless & patronising garbage from Strava. Much like the “AI” beta algorithm full of platitudes. I was able to turn off the beta post Exercise platitude generator. Unrelated to that the ride suggestions have recently disappeared.  It might be related to when you activities drop from average then Strava spams you to “encourage” which in reality is actually a real annoyance.
