Bad segment data

Be able to flag segments themselves, not individuals. There is at least one segment in Boulder that shows a faster time than the splits for that segment. Attached is what I’m referring to. It says my pace was in the 8s, but if you look at my miles 4, 5, and 6—which were part of the segment—they were in the 10s and 9s. This issue isn’t unique to my run; in fact, it affects everyone who has completed the segment.

Thanks for your post. Certain kinds of segments work better on Strava than others. If a segment repeatedly gives false results, it’s likely due the segment being constructed in such a way that it doesn’t work well with Strava’s segment matching algorithm.

If you encounter segments that repeatedly give poor quality results, we recommend hiding the segment and looking for a similar one that works better.
