Question

Calling all ebike riders to create segments on existing bike segments

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Since Strava is not listening, Im calling on ebike riders to fix this problem ourselves.

1. Find the existing segments you normally ride,

2. Go ride them on your ebike and upload as an ebike ride.

3. Create the same segments but as ebike segments, with similar naming but with an "e" infront.

If all of us do this for all the routes we ride, we can fix this ourselves.

Same-I can't stand the ladies who take a KOM and don't claim it's an ebike ride..it's totally obvious and AI should catch a 19mph uphill, when all others are at 10 mph....come on strava.

I am recently using an eike following illness, there are so few segments for ebikes it is frustrating, I have tried and tried to do as you have suggested but after I create  or 4 segments it refuses to allow me to make more or says its too similar to a route already in existence 🙄🤬

Any tips??

Another option to save you some time is to just take one of your past regular bike (non e-bike) rides that covers the segments you want to create and edit the activity type to an e-bike ride.  Once you do that, you can make the e-bike segments from that activity file and not have to go back and ride it again with the e-bike.  Once you are done creating the e-bike segment, you can edit the original activity back to a regular bike activity so you maintain the stats and any associated results.
