As of last Sunday my gravel ride with map type `dirt’ appears with a completely black background on Strava. This also applies to several `dirt’ rides of other gravel bikers. This is the case on both Safari and FireFox. On my iPhone everything looks normal. A friend noticed the same on her Windows laptop.
Any clue what causes this, and, more importantly, how to get rid of it?

+27In a chrome based browser and in firefox both on windows the dirt map appears normal for me. Maybe there is some browser add-in interfering?

I have seen that a few times as well but only on the preview image. It’s undoubtedly because of moving to OpenMapTiles about a month ago.

From my very basic understanding, the map tiles are now generated and hosted by Strava directly and like several recent changes, there are still some kinks to work out.

+1These look good, but I was referring to the ride of 28 December, 96.6 km, start time 12:24. That gave a completely black background, but looks also good now, refer to the attachment.
+27You didn’t link to a specific ride but yes, that looks okay too and was also okay a hour ago for me. Maybe some temporary issue.
