email/password login on M%ac is utterly frustrating!

Hey ​@riknuytten, I understand that you have enabled one-time codes on your Strava account which allows you to login by entering a 6-digit code emailed to your inbox. It sounds like when you open the Strava website on your computer, each time you navigate to the site you are asked to login instead of staying logged into your account.

To understand the situation further, can you please confirm which web browser this issue is occurring on? Additionally, can you confirm whether you use the “Remember Me” checkbox when logging in?

Finally, it you’re up for a bit of testing it would be interesting to know whether you see the same trouble occur when using the Strava website in a different web browser than your primary browser.

I did everything you asked. See screen shots. Makes Strava almost useless on my system. tested with several browsers (Safari, Edge, Firefox, … ) all with same STUPID behavor!

With your Strava account using the one-time code login system, it is expected that each time you visit the Strava website in a different browser, you will be asked to login again. This is because web browsers do not share cookies. Instead, a unique Strava login cookie is required by each browser. However, if you walk away from your computer and come back later or the next day, it is expected that you should remain logged into your Strava account in the web browser(s) where you were previously logged in. If I understand your statements correctly, you find that you have to login to Strava each time you open the website.

Were you able to successfully login on each browser? Can you recall how long you waited before trying to open Strava again? After waiting that period of time, did you find that you have to login to Strava again on each browser or did you notice any difference between browsers?

Finally, it would be helpful to understand the version numbers of the browsers you are using, as well as which version of Windows you are running on your machine.

• Are you able to successfully login to your Strava account on each browser?
• How long you are you required to wait before opening Strava again and finding you are no longer logged in?
• After waiting that period of time, do you find that you have to login to Strava again on each browser or did you notice any difference between browsers?
