Question

(Known Issue) strava ios widget

My widget recently changed from orange bars to green and now also appears to be showing my year to date mileage instead of weekly mileage. The color is less of an issue (just weird it changed) but I would like the option to go back to seeing my weekly mileage rather than year to date.

Same here! I used the weekly mileage for this widget all the time to remind myself where I’m I was at. Don’t really want to have to set a weekly goal to see that. Would love to be able to go back to the way it used to work, but I’m assuming (hoping) this is just a bug…

Hi, mine is weekly, but it’s showing Sunday, I need it to start on Monday like it used to…like yours

Mine's weekly and starting with Monday (which I prefer). So it seems that the week start is based on preferences either in the device's settings or in user settings in Strava, i.e. it's not globally enforced.

I see the same bug for rides, the yearly goal is displayed besides the weekly goal and the year to date distance is shown in the weekly distance.

Mine is showing as starting on Monday however when a new week starts it’s not clearing the previous weeks Sunday from my total. The app has the right distance.

When can we expect this bug to be fixed?

This is getting annoying, why hasn’t it been fixed yet?

@Bryant @Jane hey hey - would you know whether the dev team is aware of this? Thanks ☺️

Hey all! I have been having this same issue and finally just found a fix! In your widget settings try changing the sport to All Sports. Once I did that it began showing my weekly run total rather than yearly. Hope this helps!

Only a semi work around. I’m a cyclist and still shows the wrong weekly amount.

Hello everyone,

Apologies for the delay.

I can confirm our team is aware of this issue and currently working on a solution.
This should be resolved relatively soon.
I’ll come back to this thread with an update once I receive more information.

Thank you all your patience and cooperation in making us aware!

Hey Everyone,

I stand corrected.
The issue of year to date mileage instead of weekly mileage should now be resolved in our latest version.
I’ve also been informed the widget should no longer show 0 totals for Sunday.

If you haven’t done so already, please update your Strava app to the latest version.
It may be beneficial to delete and recreate the widget as well to make sure it updates correctly.

I have the latest app version (also tried reinstalling) and have removed and re-added the widget however I still have an issue where I have km in my total weekly when I haven’t actually ridden this week.

Same here. Have done all the troubleshooting mentioned including deleting the app etc and it despite this it doesn’t seem to fix it.

Hey @simont @Sjwijsman @ewil89,

Thank you for providing this example and verifying you’re still having this issue regarding the Weekly Mileage not resetting.

I can confirm the team is aware and the fix for this specific bug is still in the works.
I will return to this thread once I have an update.

Thank you!

Just to confirm what others have said - I have latest updates, have added and removed the widget. In this view it seems Sunday is shown on the chart (it is Tuesday) and the km from all of last week is on the km total (should be 0km). In the smaller view I get just the total for Sunday (14km). So I get to choose which incorrect week total I would rather have at the moment. The app total is correct and still loving the app but a functioning widget would be nice to have!!

Hi Bryant,

I updated the app just yesterday and it has now changed the start of the week from Monday to Sunday for my widget.

In the app however, the start of the week is Monday.

Still have the same issue… Runkeeper show what I’m suppose to see.

Just updated the app.  It has changed, but it is not getting better…

The total is last weeks total. The bar of last weeks sunday is still being displayed.

The widget is pretty much totally useless for now.

When can we expect a fix?

The issue with Sunday being the first day of the week is still there. My system wide settings are set to Monday, I’ve just installed the latest version, and removed, and added the widget again.

Context: iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 18.3.1, Strava v400.0.1 (r46914).

The Strava widget pictured in the screenshot below displays activities from Monday to Sunday.
I noticed yesterday (=Sunday of last week) that my Sunday activity didn’t show up there. And today (Monday), it actually wrongly shows up on this week’s summary.

I am experiencing this issue… the rings/totals are from last week but the days of the week bars are accurate for this week
