https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001685450-Gifting-a-Subscription states:

"For the time being, we have removed the option to gift a subscription to an athlete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience."

This seems to be a really bad idea. I was just looking up how to give a gift subscription. If it isn't possible, I'll be spending my Christmas gift money elsewhere.

Strava should consider enabling gift subscriptions again and stop throwing income away.

I want to gift the Family subscription to my family, while I would stay with the free plan (I'm not very sporty, unlike them). Please, dear Strava, make this option available to us!! 🙏🙏🙏

About the same thing here. Friend om mine just started riding witharig power meter. Love the Idea of giving him a 1,3,6 month subscription to let him get the most out of his power metrics

Holy cow! I can’t believe how long this took. I imagine there must have been a good reason, but it seemed like throwing money away!

I literally saw it on my main page 10 mins ago, and purchased a gift sub immediately. It was for someone who did me a solid ages ago as a co-mod for a Strava group, and kinda drifted away. I STILL bought him the sub! Felt like the right way to honor his contribution.

Crazy… Please take my money! Was that so hard?

Yes it is, however it is currently not available in some regions/locations, especially in Asia Pacific.
