When Can We Expect Ride Collections?

I see several ideas here asking for the ability to group rides/activities. I recommend that rides/activities be able to be tagged as favorites, somewhat equivalent to liking a song on Spotify puts it into a default Liked Songs playlist as well as the ability to create a collection of rides/activities with a name similar to creating a playlist and add songs to the playlist on Spotify. There should be a section on the site and the app for collections of activities. I also recommend that each collection have a space under the name allowing for a write up of the collection, just as each ride/activity has space under the title to add text. I think we should be able to add a picture to each collection similar to how someone adds a profile picture to their profiles on apps.

I see that there are a number of posts asking for similar features. I have not read them all, but I wanted to add that both favorites and collections be available as well as provide some specificity about a good look. Having added my post, I want to say that it looks like a lot of people have been recommending this sort of thing for a long time. So why hasn’t anything been done? Collections are available on Komoot and Garmin Connect already. I have always used Strava, and do not want to have to switch to another app. Garmin Connect does not have the ability to upload videos, and Komoot does not have an integrated chat feature or clubs. I like to collect my road touring rides, but I do not tour all the time, and I like to focus on athletic goals that Strava excels at. I do not want to have to use both Komoot and Strava as a bicycle tourer.

A lot of us need these features for a variety of reasons. It seems they have been requested for a while. They can’t be that difficult to implement. The same sorts of features are available on other apps of other types (such as playlists on music apps). So when can we expect these features to show up?
