Strava & Apple Watch Splits not the same

SebastianJ

Anyone know what has caused this issue?

Splits on Strava are all over the place, while the summary in Strava is correct. This was on a treadmill with the Apple Watch directly synced to the treadmill. Strava added 1.1km in the splits compared to the Apple Watch splits which are correct.

I have this same issue (example^) It seems almost like in the absence of gps data, strava is trying to guess my splits based on my cadence and avg pace instead of reading the pace from the watch. Which levels out my pace a lot because my cadence doesn’t vary proportional to my pace. (This is just a theory) The summary in strava is correct - shows the total distance and average pace of 10:14 that line up with what the treadmill and my Apple Watch say - but splits are off, which is frustrating when I’m doing a workout like this with varied paces.

This is an issue for me as well. My splits on apple and strava are totally different and I would like to know which are more accurate.
