I would love to be able to add different distances to Best Efforts, so that as my running improves I can compare the distance I am currently at. Would be great to see 5 miles, 7 miles etc rather than just 5K, 10K.
This idea sounds very similar to our All-Time PR feature. Have you tried using All-Time PR?
If your idea is different than All-Time PR, could you provide more details on your idea? We kindly ask that you review our Ideas guidelines, particularly the “What makes a good idea” section, to ensure that your ideas are clear, concise, and can reach as many others as possible.
The All-time PR still has the same pre-set distances as Best Efforts. I want to compare 4 mile runs or 5 mile runs etc, distances that are not 2 miles or 5k or 10k etc
The best efforts for fastest times over specific distances (10K, 20K, 100K) are fun but lots of us go for much farther set distances. A Super Randonneur series goes 200K, 300k, 400k, 600k and there are also 1000k and 1200k events (including Paris Brest Paris but there are many more). Can there please be best efforts that match these distances? Ultracyclists and randonneurs do strive for PRs over these big distances and I think it would be great for Strava to recognize this.
... Even for someone who's not necessarily trying to do anything but survive, after completing one of these huge distances it's bound to be nice to find out that you PRed.
Currently the longest best efforts (PRs) shown on the website is 50K. As an ultra runner, I would find the following distances useful: 50 miles, 100K, 100 miles. Would that be possible?
