I wanted to share some challenges I've been experiencing on your platform. I genuinely love the features Strava offers, but recent issues have made it difficult to fully utilize the app as a new user.

  1. When creating my club, I had to contact support for verification before it was approved. While I appreciate the review process, this step felt unnecessarily cumbersome and was not communicated clearly.
  2. Since creating the club, I’ve been facing ongoing issues as the admin. My posts aren’t being processed, and several group members have reported the same problem.

I’ve already attempted the standard troubleshooting steps—reinstalling the app, refreshing it, and updating my device. Unfortunately, these measures haven’t resolved the issue.

It’s frustrating to encounter these roadblocks, as I was excited to grow a community on Strava and optimize the app for club engagement. I’m beginning to feel that the platform is not streamlined for new users trying to establish a club.

I’ve attached an image to show what I’m experiencing and hope this provides clarity.

Are you still experiencing this issue posting to your clubs?

Hi Bryan,

Thank you for your reply. Yes we are still having issues. I created the club so I know I have the settings correct. Seems to be anyone in the club that has only recently created an account can’t log their runs into the group. Why is this?

Hey ​@NiamhB,

Thank you for confirming the newly created accounts are having trouble.
Newly created accounts have certain limitations to them. This is a precautionary measure to prevent any spam, abuse, etc.

For those new accounts, if they continue to upload activities and show they are active users those limitations will be removed.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Can you tell me how many posts they need to make before these limitations are removed? We are just trying to get this club going ASAP.

Unfortunately, I cannot share the exact number for Trust & Safety reasons.
However, the users should notice a change within a week or two of frequent uploads.

Hi Bryan,

I am the owner of the club. Because the members were not able to post, I have been sharing the activities into the group which was working fine. Now it seems that my account has been blocked from making any more posts into the group, why is this? Have I been blocked for over activity or something? Can you sort this please
