Why am I getting push notifications for every friend activity as of this morning?

New this morning, I’ve been getting notifications for users who I do not have favorited. This is a really obnoxious use of notifications with no clear way to turn it off without turning off notifications for favorited users. This appeared to start this morning.

 

Also, why was my last thread about this deleted?
