I am developing an app (in flutter) where I want to use the official Strava app as a possible means of authentication using the oauth2 flow as describes in the Strava documentation.However, I am stuck in getting the official Strava to work at all in the Android simulator (I’m using IntelliJ Ultimate in case it matters). This is completely unrelated to the app I am developing, using these steps:create an Android image including the Appstore in the simulator (I tried Pixel 4, Pixel 8a, Pixel Pro XL with different versions of the Android api) install the Strava app from the Appstore (need to sign in to your google account) start the Strava app enter your email address, wait for the one-time-token enter the one-time token see a red notification with “try again with new token”Tried with two different accounts, on separate days, at least two dozen times.Sadly I no longer have an account available

Hello, I have built an data importer application for strava, and strava team very effectively granted me the initial athlete capacity and api limits. The application is much more welcomed than estimated, I am now have numbers of active users very close to the initial limit of the athlete capacity.  I requested to increase my athlete capacity from strava about 7 business days ago via application form. I know strava said 8-10 business days for an application. But I just want to know if there is any ways could check the progress of the application?  thanks guys!

The API docs as well as the swagger spec define that the type of an ActivityZone can be one of ['heartrate', 'power']. However, the API also returns at least one other type, i.e. 'pace'. When using the swagger spec to validate or deserialize responses, this may lead to validation errors.Is it possible to update the documentation and swagger spec with all supported types?Thanks!

Hi,I'm working on registering my app for push subscription and when I run the post request outlined here I receive 400 status and this:{"message": "Bad Request","errors": [{"resource": "PushSubscription","field": "callback url","code": "not verifiable"}]}I'm able to get 200 status and the required hub.challenge to return if I hit the callback_url from 1) python requests & 2) curl. Then when I run the post (push subscriptions request) either with Python requests or curl, I receive the above error. Checking my server, I do not receive anything from Strava in this. Its like the callback url is blocked before Strava sends anything to it and I get the above error within 1 second, when it should be waiting 2 seconds for a response.My server is running a flask api with nginx proxying api call

At the time of setting up my api application, I added 1 in Number of athletes allowed to connect and Number of athletes currently connected. How can I change this. As I am trying to use the app its giving me error - Error 401: Limit of connected athletes exceeded.

Hello everyone, I’m trying to upload or attach a photo to an activity through my own application — or alternatively link an external image, if Strava supports embedding images from external sources.The goal is to achieve something similar to what Zwift or Rouvy activities display: a main workout image that visually represents the completed session.I’ve checked the public API documentation, but I haven’t found a clear description of how to upload an image directly to an existing activity (not as a user photo and not via the standard /uploads endpoint). Before I continue experimenting, I’d like to know whether Strava currently supports this for third‑party developers, and if so, which endpoint or workflow should be used.Any guidance, examples, or official references would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I set my web app up, with only one user. Read online found out had to submit documentation. I just did that. Was just wondering if there’s still support available for things like this bc no one has posted anything here for 2 years 😅 here’s hoping

Has the /koms api endpoint been completely deprecated? Since the 1st of April it has been returning empty arrays for what should have been full pages of koms. 

Hey all, looking for some guidance from developers who have solved this problem or from the Strava team directly.I'm building a segment discovery app (Segment Sniper) that helps athletes find segments with beatable leaderboards for both cycling and running. One of the features I'm working on is alerting users when their KOM, QOM, or CR position is under threat or has been taken.The challenge is getting leaderboard data frequently enough to detect changes without blowing through the rate limits (200 requests per 15 minutes, 2,000 per day).Here's what I'm currently thinking:1. Using webhooks (POST /push_subscriptions) to detect when any of our users uploads a new activity. When a webhook fires, I check which segments overlap with that activity and refresh only those specific leaderboards. This avoids polling entirely for activity detection.2. For leaderboard monitoring on segments where our users hold positions, I'm batching GET /segments/{id}/leader

Hello. long time no see ;) I have a question or request - depending on the current state of affairs :) but I can’t clue it up myself.Create activity endpoint allows you to add private=true attribute, so that the activity is not shown to your followers - the corresponding strava Add activity form has Privacy Controls/Who can see dropdown. Can’t we have such flag (or we have but I don’t find it) to Upload file endpoint/dialog? So we could say, hey strava, when you finish processing the upload, when creating a default activity page just flag it already. It works with commute/training fields on both upload and createActivity, can’t we have the same with ‘who can see’ option?  Cheers and happy Easter,M.

Hi,I'm building an application using the Strava Webhook Events API and I'm running into an environment isolation issue.The problem: Strava only allows one active webhook subscription per Client ID. This makes it impossible to run separate webhook callbacks for different environments (production, staging, development) simultaneously — registering a new subscription either fails with a 409 or overwrites the previous one.Our setup:One Strava API application (single Client ID / Client Secret) Three environments: production, staging, local dev Each environment needs to receive webhook events independentlyWhat we've tried:Using different callback URLs per environment → only one can be active at a time Registering/deleting subscriptions on deploy → creates race conditions and breaks other environmentsWhat we'd like to know:Is there
