Hello Everyone,

My name is Brian, and I’m developing an innovative AI-DJ Fitness Music Player app.  I’ve lived in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, my whole life and have always had a passion for electronics, computers, and music.  In the early 1980s, during summer camp, I managed to build a pirate FM radio transmitter from a broken radio, using a Walkman for music playback and headphones as a microphone, those were some of the best memories of my youth!

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, I struggled with morbid obesity, reaching over 330lb/151kg. Cycling outdoors was the only activity that significantly impacted my weight, but I always lost ground during winter months.  By 2008, I built my own custom stationary bike with electronic braking resistance, creating my own enhanced version of what I now know as Zone 2 training.  At the same time, I began creating custom workout music mixes.  Over time, I was able to get my weight down to 165lb/75kg.

In 2016, I decided to go all in and wrote two major patents for an AI-DJ Workout Music Playback Machine, which integrates GPS, accelerometers, biometric trackers, exercise machines, and workout videos.  However, just as I was moving forward, I fell seriously ill at the end of 2019.  In early 2020, I contracted COVID-19, which developed into long COVID, and I suffered additional setbacks with two more infections.  For three years, I struggled to do anything beyond basic tasks, unable to breathe without difficulty.  During this time, my second patent was granted, but I couldn’t act on it.

By May 2023, after gaining 70lb/32kg during my illness, I put in a tremendous effort to regain my health.  I’ve since lost the COVID weight and, despite dealing with a lumbar disc injury, I’m now in good enough shape to travel and ready to raise funds for my AI-DJ Fitness Music Player app.

Here’s hoping that this summer I’ll be able to cycle outdoors for the first time in half a decade.  I hope this will also be my first time using Strava.  I look forward to finding an angel investor or VC firm to help bring my game-changing workout music technology to life and perhaps have it interface with Strava through their developer’s hub.

Fitness for life,

Brian G.

Hello, my name is Nicolau Henrique Trevisan. I discovered Strava around 2013-2014 and I couldn't disconnect anymore. Practically my entire sports life is recorded on Strava, more than 150,000 kilometers of many adventures, fun and overcoming.I consider myself a Stravaholic, today with almost 30,000 followers I am among the most liked users in the world, I believe this is the result of my always active presence on the app.Sometimes I have been a questioner and sometimes I felt that this bothered some people, Manager Brasil, for example, blocked me on their Instagram. I believe I know all of Strava's features, in addition to informing myself, I have fun with some of them. And that is how I live the STRAVA world.

My name is Romeo Mabasa from Johannesburg, South Africa and I have discovered strava when I started running in 2020 and I never looked back. I have embraced capturing all my activities no matter which app I use. As the saying goes, “If it’s not on strava, it never happened” and this is the way of life.

I have done all ultra marathons in South Africa as follows:

  • Comrades Marathon: 89km, Durban, South Africa
  • Two-Oceans Marathon: 56km, Cape Town, South Africa
  • Om die Dam Marathon: 50km, Haartebeest, South Africa
  • Irene Ultra Marathon: 48km, Pretoria, South Africa

I often say, the best self-love and showing up for yourself, is by taking up physical sport and use that moment to reconnect with yourself, your thoughts and just be happy in a moment.

hello my name is Angela

Hello from Knoxville, Tennessee!

I’m Alex—co-founder to a new running clothing brand, BOUND Running Co. based here in Knoxville.

I’m 35, a Tennessee native, husband, friend, son, and dad to 4 beautiful kids.

Soccer was my calling, and I dabbled in track and XC growing up. Ran in the AAU Junior Olympics and never stepped back into the running circuit until I tried an Olympic distance triathlon in 2012. The endurance bug was caught and I transitioned to run with consistency and purpose in 2020. By day I am a legacy kid who watched my dad grow a fast-casual restaurant chain from dust to 15 locations, and I’m on a mission to grow our concept across the nation one day at a time, carrying on our 40 year-old start up concept which I am stoked to help carry the family torch into the 2nd generation.

Until then, I am passionately growing our running brand to serve in the spaces and cracks of the running industry through well designed products and encouragement by belongship—all through the vehicle of inspiring and intentional storytelling.

I have much to learn and am stoked to dig more into the active community at Strava as an end user for 10+ years, and now as a brand/club seeking to add value and contribute opposed to taking anything from anyone.

Looking forward to connecting further with you all. ✌️

Hey everyone, I'm new here, but also to running as a whole! Started with a coffeeshop run club (Deadstock coffee) in Portland that meets weekly. I am 40 years old, and was doing the walking group for weeks, coming from a primarily sendentry lifestyle. I am now fully obsessed, in the last week alone I hit my longest run of 16 miles with 1109' of elevation, and this morning my first ever sub 7 minute mile 💪🏽

I never would've known how supportive the running community is here. Helping me understand pace, and time vs distance much better!

This is easily the best thing I've ever done for my mental health, and can't wait to see where this journey takes me! 🏃🏽💨

Follow me for more.

-Tony ✌🏽
