Feedback: Heatmap changes

Hello everyone. Thanks again for all the feedback. We are working on a complete overhaul of clusters and should have positive news for you all shortly...Appreciate your patience! 

Agree with much of the feedback here. Please bring back the function in the heatmaps that allows you to see where and how often you have run in the world. I'm not interested in the photos, but in a global overview of my activities.

Please.  No "overhaul" is necessary.  I know coders like to code, but there can hardly be anything so graphically simple and expressive as the symbology you formerly used.  Simple graduated circles (according to number of activities), with a number inside, would be hard to beat.  If you can do it, then kudos to you, but hopefully there's a skilled cartographer on your staff to provide guidance and tell you there's more bang for your effort to be had elsewhere.

Keeping this thread alive.  This still stinks.  Bring Back Activity Clusters!!!!!!

Completely agree, Guy.  Anyone know how I can get these phots off my heatmap please?

There are options at the top of the map, when you click personal heatmaps you can toggle it off thankfully

the clusters were simply perfect, please do not spoil this with overhauling; if i can opt out pictures and opt in clusters i am happy again; i joined premium only for the heatmaps....

I only have one little issue, there is no way to combine let's say Run with Trail Run, it is great that all sports are separeted, as in the past when I chose Running it would also show my hikes, but now it is all nicely sorted, however, I personally would love to be able to see all my runs together on one map as I do occasional trail, so my only request here would be possibility to group those similar sports Run with Trail Run, Walk with Hike etc

Otherwise I am happy that you listened and I will keep my subscription running, as no one else have tool like this!

I still get annoying photo bubbles that I can't turn off.  I don't want them on my heatmap.  My heatmap is the main reason I pay for Strava.  I hope this is fixed with an option that lets me turn off the annoying photo bubbles completely, not just current layer option.

Agree. The photos block my map so it is impossible to see the routes I have done. Do not know why this feature would be added without an option to toggle it off.

You can disable Community Photos in Change Map Styles dialog. Just click this button in bottom left corner

and then disable option:

You can also hide your photos (and videos) in Personal Heatmap Settings.
