Not sure if anyone has seen this very confusing messaging:

What are you getting in return for the 33% increase?   very little in my opinion.   This is a mistake.   I think a lot of people will leave the platform

I just cancelled a month ago due to unfair country differences and unreasonable price (Australia is $99). currently thinking about it... current PRICING DIFFERENCES by COUNTRY arent fair. The increases are huge. as dc rainmaker shows (online), different intra-euro pricing isnt even legal. As for the Strava official/PR explanation that its about how an amount feels in a country is plain wrong. The "feeling"is quantifiable called purchasing power.  To fairly compare it across countries - There is a fair formula for that." Purchasing power parity (PPP). "Purchasing power parities (PPPs) are the rates of currency conversion that try to equalise the purchasing power of different currencies, by eliminating the differences in price levels between countries."
fairness might be better achived and demonstrtated using https://data.oecd.org/conversion/purchasing-power-parities-ppp.htm

I just received a 125% price increase - similar to something Strava tried once before - and now they're trying it on again.  I'm afraid that, despite being a member since 2014 and a paying subscriber since 2016, I've had enough of their particular type of we-don't-care-we-don't-listen-we'll-do-as-we-**bleep**-well-please nonsense, so I've just cancelled.

[And yet, despite all the stuff Strava have promised to do and failed to deliver on, they can edit out the word "d a m n" from a post and replace it with "bleep".  That's just hilarious!]

A 125% increase is complete and utter nonsense.  If they actually 'knew' their user base, I'd suggest it was disrespectful too ... but they don't and have no intentions of getting to know the user community.  We're just paying customers and that's all Strava care about ... and have for a long, long time.

S'up to the individual what they do ... but leaving is about to free up some cash for me as well as facilitate an adaptation to a new, happier style of cycling.

Don't be confused ... just cancel and use RideWithGps and Garmin Connect instead.

I'm still confused! - It's still not clear

If I follow that link - https://www.strava.com/pricing

I get shown an annual price for my country of: $59.99 (Which is based on my IP I would guess)

However looking at my account, I see my renewal will be $79.99 (and checking my country, is also the same country as shown on the website for $59.99...

Hi @thetrickster

Thanks for posting about this.  Please submit a support ticket and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
