If heart rate is unavailable for some time, Strava just averages the missing part making the total average useless.  e.g. Watch fails to record heart rate of the first 5 minutes of a 30m run. Strava then records a 5 minute interval with (very) low heart rate. Then at the end if the run the total average is lowered significantly by that stretch.  i would like these null readings be ignored or at least have the ability to choose how they are handled/extrapolated (max/avg/last value/first value/ignore).  ... I’d like to see Strava interface with applications that offer properties for sale (e.g. Rightmove, Zoopla etc.) to display properties for sale along their tracked rout that match the criteria they have specified. I would find this very useful as I often see properties I may be interested in purchasing whilst cycling local areas.  However by the time I get home I can’t always remember exactly where I saw which house and therefore don’t bother looking any further. Properties would be pins along the route (similar to how photos are in the Strava web app) linking it to the relevant property on the sales application.  Clicking on the link would jump you into the partner application on the matching item. ... noticed that the default display on the mobile app for ski activities is "elapsed time" rather than "moving time" - in fact it doesn't even display moving time on the activity. as an athlete, I'd rather see moving time. same as bike, run, etc. thanks! ... View more

Currently it seems you can only view the activities of the people you are friends with or in a group with. I think it would be quite a nice idea to implement a discover page where you can scroll through random athlete's activities based on the activities you upload, giving pro athletes more exposure to a wider audience and everyday athletes like myself a larger group of people to discover and follow.  ... Right now, when you choose the share option in a Club Event page (mobile), it offers the ability to share in chats, as a Post, or "Other Options", which is just basically a copied link. When sharing an activity, there is a built-in ability to share via Instagram stories. It would be incredibly useful to be able to extend that same functionality to club events. I appreciate having the ability to do a bulk download of all my Strava activities. However, having been a Strava member since 2015, that means hundreds and hundreds of activities. I did a bulk download this morning and the file is 378MB. What I'd really like to see is the ability to create a "date range" to download a specific, and limited, number of activities. I take a fair amount of photos/videos during activities (walks and hikes in particular) that I often attach to my activity in Strava. However, the workflow involved here feels clunky, and I built an interactive prototype for a simpler and more engaging way to add media to your activities! What if Strava subscribers could give and even receive sponsorship? I could imagine myself paying for a more expensive subscription tier that allowed me to allocate a portion of that subscription cost to other athletes in the community. How much more expensive? I don't know... But here are some reasons why I could imagine myself and maybe others might consider paying in to this tier: I want to support a friend of family member who's starting their fitness journey I want to support the local legends in my community (which would hopefully inspire competition among other community members to make their accounts public, pay into the sponsor-level subscription tier, and compete for that status) I'm a local business owner or enterprise leader and want to sponsor a specific athlete or private group in my community I'm a local business owner or enterprise leader and want to sponsor a badge where participants in the subscription tier can win the proceeds. I want to tap in to my competitive side and see if I can break even on my subscription cost by accruing sponsorship $ through the means suggested above. I'm a content creator in the fitness space and this is an additional source of income with a hight cost:benefit ratio. The same mechanism could be used for athletes to allocate their sponsorship to  charitable causes. Probably more reasons I haven't thought of... I suppose this idea could also be reworked so that participants earn points rather than $. Strava would have to establish relationships with retailers for participants to redeem their points. This idea certainly isn't reinventing the wheel as subscriptions with profit sharing already exist. But I think an online fitness community like Strava has a higher percentage of users who want to see the people they follow succeed compared to other platforms (this is obviously completely anecdotal). And I think allowing for the sponsorship to potentially come back to the individual sponsors in a variety of ways encourages the type of competition that benefits the participants at least in terms of their fitness but also potentially their wallets. Anyways, there's probably a massive issue with this idea that's in my blindspot or someone has thought of this already and it wouldn't work. The FAQs for matched activities specifically says: "What if one of my activities is not matched? We currently do not have a way to force an activity to match other activities." It would be good to be able to do just that.  I have 8 rides, but only 7 "match" despite the 8th being identical (overlaid GPX files) and within 0.05 miles distance.  Frustratingly, the missing ride is my fastest, which means I have to remember to compare my best "matched" rides to that one. I guess this will be easier to do, if Strava holds their matching status in a database, rather than the algorithm re-running the matching each time so forgetting the forcing action ... View more

Can we add location for all official races by Province/County and Country to show a heat map on the world map where you have been. There are people who spend their hard earned money to run all over the world and to show this on a map would be very encouraging especially given the world majors within the running discipline.  This will also help be awesome when you give the annual summary to show all the provinces/counties within a country or in other countries where you have participated in races.
