The mobile app (on Android), when used for recording bike rides, shows: - For free users: the average speed of the activity - For premium users: the current speed For premium users, there should be an option to switch the display to show the average speed (instead of the current speed). (This option currently does not exist.)

Sometime you want to create a segment which is are a loop. However, if you don't start this loop exactly at the same location, you won't be compared to other athletes.
It would be great if strava could detect that a segment is a loop and allow comparison between activities, whatever the starting point

Please can you provide options/links to Shortcuts to start, pause, resume and finish activities, with the options to pick which type.
This will be very useful to include Strava in longer shortcuts, or even deeper integration with the Apple Watch and complications, and also the Apple Watch Ultra Action Button (which can be used to launch a shortcut).

Ciao. Please make POI icons bigger and clearly visible on map. While travelling in a new place it's difficult to find the best area to train or hike without zooming in. I'm suggesting something like the POI on Komoot. You can spot them immediately opening the route planner. On Strava it's not so simple. Thank you

I would like Strava to consider renaming “Nordic Ski” to the official name recognized by both the International Ski Federation and the Olympic committee: “Cross-Country Ski” (and in French too : “Ski de fond”). In my opinion, Nordic Skiing is too broad as it includes both competitive cross-country skiing and ski jumping (which are completely different sports: propelling yourself on snow vs flying with skis) Thank you / merci! It would be really useful to be able to filter My Activities by the geographical location. Potentially allowing users to browse their heat map and when they click on an area of their heat map it lists all activities that occurred on that point.

Hello,
I suggest that Strava count elevation from rides synchronized from Rouvy intervals. Garmin Connect does.
For example:
https://www.strava.com/activities/10291218677
https://www.strava.com/activities/10302365283
If I had chosen a flat route, the distance would have been much greater.
Thank You.

More options for the primary sports in settings. Why have so many sports that qualify for activities yet you can only choose running or cycling as your primary sport. Please add all available sports to your primary sport drop box as it will allow manual uploading to be simplified and could allow for challenges to be more suitably catered to athletes’ interests.

It would be great if we can see our best efforts displayed under our profile pics, like some athletes are doing on other social media sites. It’s becoming increasingly popular to show your 1k, 1mile, 5k and 10k best times. Right now these efforts are hidden away in statistics. We should be proud to display our best efforts.

It would be cool to get a notification when someone gets a new segment KOM in any of your starred segments and/or any segment in which you're holding a top 10 spot. I think it would be an extra encouragement to those in the top 10 to give kudos on the activity and maybe have a go at the KOM themselves, but also it's a nice reward for the new KOM to have their achievement sent to more than just the dethroned KOM.

Please display data from all sensors that are part of the FIT file, especially sensors/data oficially recognized by Garmin. Body temperature (Core), muscle oxygen saturation (Moxy), glucose level (Supersapiens). The modern training has evolved but Strava seems to be sleeping in the stone age.

When I crop my activity to avoid idle time or to get needed roundoff distance during start and end of the activity, the distance displays only in full number, kindly add two or three digit decimal points to get what exactly the user wanted.

I have noticed a variety of challenges which most involve a lot of exercises ie walking, hours, running. However, some don’t even mention weights which is disappointing as I’m more into weights for exercise.
please can we have some weight lifting challenges.

Your virtural rides add to goals and totals but an ebike ride doesn't. Able to setup a goal with them added or not. I only noticed this at the end of 2022 after getting an ebike. Not sure if a subscription is worth it if I can't track my activities because STRAVA sets the rules on what is and isn't a ride.

I would like more filters for my saved routes on the mobile app. Good filters would be:
1) Favourited routes
2) List routes alphabetically
3) List routes by distance: ascending & descending
4) List routes by elevation: ascending & descending
At the moment my saved routes are only listed in the order that I saved them (most recent first). I have over 150 saved routes and searching through them isn't very efficient. Just an idea 🙂

I wish the mobile app could notify us or give us a suggestion for segments where you are close to becoming a Local Legend. I can’t find this feature anywhere, so I hope you can add it.

I think it would be great if Strava allowed athletes to download a Yearbook Album of all of their activities and highlight photos.
What is it?
The Strava Yearbook album is basically a physical copy of all of the activities an athlete completed within a year or multiple years. The album goes in chronological order and can be customized to show multiple activities on one page if it was just a morning run or it can show one big activity on a page if it was a special event like a marathon or multiple photos.
Why is it important?
Having a physical copy of your workouts may be a special gift that athletes gift to each other to feel the weight of their workouts over a year or over multiple years. It makes the work tangible.
How does it work?
Strava partners with a third-party yearbook distributor to allow athletes to create albums based on their data. It creates a physical year in review. Put all the athletes activities in the book along with some data highlights and photos from across the Strava community.
Turn the digital into a physical photo album.

Cricket is massive in India and played by millions around the world. I think it makes sense to have a cricket activity type. Pretty sure implementation wise it can be very similar to football.

Please consider adding Surfski as a Sport type. Surfski (one word) is very specific type of sit-on-top kayak designed for racing or fitness paddling on open water. There is a worldwide competitive circuit and a designated world championships (https://www.canoeicf.com/canoe-ocean-racing-world-championships/madeira-2024). Having Surfski listed as a sport will help surfski athletes build worldwide community on Strava. A lot of us train on our own and use Strava to record our training and activity. There are many routes, both downwind runs and circuits that we regularly paddle individually and having Surfski as a sport type will help us to compare, compete and share through the Strava app.
