Is there a way of getting activities marked as walks or hikes to count towards annual target rather than having to tag them runs (very slow ones!) Any ideas welcome Mark

I've just changed to using a Garmin 255 (previously had a Coros Pace 2 and before that a Garmin 920) and now my track workouts (saved as a Workout on Strava) are showing very odd times (way too short) for rest periods between reps. It seems like it's now using moving time rather than elapsed? It has been working fine for the Coros & Garmin 920, both correctly showing the full rest periods on Strava. In Garmin Connect the activities recorded on the 920 & 255 both look fine with the correct rest being reflected, but when transferred to Strava the 255 data is being changed, whereas the 920 data isn't? Growing up Canadian, I was not tuned into the world of professional soccer (football). By “not tuned in”, I mean I didn’t know it existed.  Like most Canadians, I lived and breathed the sport of ice hockey, or as we called it, hockey. In a land where winter can be 8 months long, and every small town has at least one hockey rink, inserting the word “ice” was simply not necessary. I uninstalled my app because I had no sound when using it. Unfortunately, I can't reinstall it from google play store. Someone can help ?

I ride a Computrainer which requires calibration.  Every time that I ride the CT and upload to STRAVA the warm up and Calibration is not included in the total kilometers because the actual event has not started until 15 minutes of Calibration is completed.I estimate that on every event or ride 20% of the total does not register to STRAVA.This adds up at the end of the year.Solutions??

I noticed after doing an interval workout from the fitness app on my apple watch that the intervals do not appear on Strava like it would with Garmin. Is this expected? 

If i record on the Huawei Health app it syncs right away. The Band 7 doesnt sync. Could it be that Band 7 doesnt record GPS? The Band 7 doesnt support the Strava app so it syncs to Huawei Health on my smartphone and then to Strava. I just got it today.

I am an avid runner who is also a pilot and Garmin watches that target different verticals like aviation, boating, etc also have all the running, cycling features as well. Whenever I go on a flight it automatically uploads to Strava just like any activity. It's actually pretty cool to see my flight track on there, and the community thinks pretty cool too, but it messes up all statistics and my year-end report because it thinks these are fitness activities. It categorizes these as a Workout which is probably fallback. Does anyone know if possible to mark an activity in a way so it doesn't include the data in fitness statistics.

HI, I would like to add the calories and hart beet on some activities.  My fitbit is to old to be compatible with strava and I dont see how to add these info without enterring manually the activitie. Thanks

I have some ideas that I'm considering submitting, but before I do, I thought I'd come here for a bit of a discussion. How do you view Strava? I see Strava as a "Social Platform for Fitness/Movement", where not only do we track our activities, achieve KOMs, become Local Legends, etc., but also as a place of community, where we can get together to share and delight in each other's accomplishments.Given that perspective, I think there are a lot of 'social' features that are missing from Strava (tagging other athletes in photos and/or videos, chat, event planning, etc.). How do others feel - are you more in line with Strava as a Social platform, or do you see it more for the athletic tracking (wanting more features tied to activities, rather than social features)?

I noticed today that my Zwift indoor ride on a standard bike was marked as "e-MTB ride". I tried to change the activity type to a regular ride which I did and saved it, but after checking to see if it kept that change, I found it didn't. I did buy an e-MTB bike a few months ago, but I went and looked at my Zwift activities and I now find that *all* of my Zwift rides are e-MTB rides, even ones that were entered before I even owned an e-MTB. I found that Strava says you can't change a virtual ride type after it has been recorded, but I can't even figure out how it defaulted to an e-MTB in the first place. I looked at my profiles in both Zwift and Strava and can't find this setting to fix it going forward.

With the introduction of support for Bulgarian language in iOS 16, Strava application started using a strange set of audio cues. There are some Bulgarian words in it, lots of English words as well, but the pronunciation is usually wrong and based on an awful accent. Sample: /edin kilometer/ in five minutes /nine/ seconds. Edin means one; nine (9) is pronounced /nine/. Please remove this translation and switch back to English until you have real Bulgarian translation. The current one is far from the quality someone could expect from Strava. Thank you!

I may be missing some existing features but I'm curious to learn if there is a way to meet like-minded individual's that are nearby to me (i.e. in my city). I travel a lot (digital nomad) and have found great joy in being part of some running clubs for a few weeks.Unfortunately, a lot of places in the US don't have existing running clubs (that I can't find through a Google/Facebook/etc. search at least) but I'm sure there must be other runners out there that might be interested in showing a newbie around their town.Is there a way to already do this in Strava, or could this be a way this community hub is leveraged? Thanks! 

Every year we are waitng for the yearly summary, aren't we? As it was rolled out a few days ago I recognized again that the numbers used in this summary aren't correct. E.g.: In my profile there are 6.270 km of total cycling distance. The summary says 6.431 km. Also the longest ride stated in the summary 120 km, the profile says 150 km (and I know it was 150 km 😉 😉 ) Where do these deviations come from?

Does anyone know how to post a virtual ride, but not have it count towards the leader board? I did a virtual ride and got a KOM on a section of that ride.  Which doesn't feel quite fair.  Doing it inside isn't the same as being on the actual road.  

The annual summary in my profile has two separate options to show E Rides and non electric Rides. If I sum both the annual kms seems high and the non E Rides in particular seem to be high. Am wondering if the E Rides are a subset of rides ie included in the total of Rides rather than as a separate quantity? Or on the other hand am I simply a superstar?

Hi, I now have 2 x Garmin devices (1040 and a Fenix) but every ride I have ever done is all tracked via Strava on my iPhone. The 1040 also tracks the rides within Garmin connect separately, but they stay in Garmin world. I can see that I can link Garmin Connect and Strava together, however, it says it will sync the last 90 days of activities, but the last 90 days of activities are already on Strava, so will it double up on all the activities, or do I need to not use Strava for 90 days to make a clean switch to the Garmin devices as activity trackers? If I have to stop using Strava for 90 days, can I get 90 days added to my yearly paid subscription?   Thanks!

I admin clubs that hold Strava events regularly. Problem: Once an event has passed, it disappears from the club page and is no longer linked to anywhere and cannot be found (unless you jotted down the event URL before it disappeared). It would be nice to have depository somewhere of past club events for member reference - for example, to support recurring events, or to look up who RSVP-ed.  Or have anybody found a workaround to access past club events?

Not having much luck...From the watch, I select "Sign in on phone" Opens "Authorize Strava for Wear OS" - I click AUTHORIZE Goes to "Allow this app to keep you signed in on your watch? Click ALLOW and nothing happens, totally dead link (com.google.android.wear.companion . . . . . . ) Too Soon? What am I missing?
