Hi. I have a relatively new Strava account. In my 'Connected Apps' section of the app, I can see Strava as a connected app. In my Strava app, I can see under 'Link to other services', my Garmin Connect is set to sync automatically. On my Garmin Venu 2 (and within the app itself) I can see my activities. So, why are my Garmin activities not syncing i.e. why can't I see my Garmin activities in Strava? I have asked Garmin and they said it is set up properly, so speak to Strava... Speaking to Strava isn't easy so thought I'd ask here...  

In the aftermath of a group activity with people not on my feed I enjoy seeing that little title text they have set, if they did not just keep the default. That's often an indication of which activities to take a closer look at (pictures!), and the primary outlet of user creativity in Strava. Also, seeing those titles is a good indication of which peers to eventually follow because they put in effort to make their feed entertaining.This feature exists in the browser implementation, so it can't be a privacy consideration. But it's missing in the android app (and I imagine that it used to exist in an older version of the app). Currently the layout of the "manage group" dialog pullup reserves a line of screen space fo the location set in the profile (often empty), but that's not half as interesting as the title text.

Ever been in that situation where someone gives you a thank you and then you instantly say thank you back? Or is it just me who instantly feels the need to say thank you back as a way to offset my blushes. Either way it's really a nice compliment when you receive a thank you and can turn an average day into a better one.  Behold the 👍! What strava has done for me. For me, strava has played a big role in my weight loss journey. And it all started a couple of years ago when a colleague pushed me to lose weight. And wanted me on strava. So he could keep an extra close eye on me and give me kudos when i was active. It was heavy, but I felt the little kudos I got and the little pressure to register something. It motivated me further. Unfortunately, I hurt my back, became unmotivated and deleted the account. Gained weight, and life became heavier again. But i never completely gave up. After treatment and physiotherapy. Then it was back to good old strava. Competing against myself. Set better times, get higher on segments. And bang, to this day I am 45 kilos lighter. And it just keeps getting better.

I'm using Strava on Android, and until the last couple of days have just been using the free version which I'm finding very good and has suited my needs. I've now got a a subscription preview, but on loading the App today when I went to record the screen where the map shows was black, with no route appearing on it. I usually use it with mobile data off (limited data, and quite frankly no desire for it to be on permanently) and it shows a blurry map which is perfectly fine for my purposes (to show it's picked up where I am and relate it to my route so far). Turning mobile data on did result in the map appearing (sharply as it would have done beforehand). I don't use Strava for navigation. The only other thing I've done in the meantime is switch off a few notifications, not ones I'd been getting anyway, and nothing I think should be affecting the screen above. So my feed is peppered with unsolicited check out this run you did 3 yrs ago / 5 yrs ago etcstrava say you can’t turn it off. I got injured 3 yrs ago have had several surgeries and can no longer walk further than about 3 miles never mind run. I can cycle though so I still use Strava. It’s just so distressing to be constantly reminded of the thing that I love that I CANNOT do and I have no way of turning it off. Ridiculous. 

Hi I forgot to start my watch on a run last week but my friend said they would add me to it They sent an invitation but it never showed up in my emails It has previously worked I’ve checked my settings and can’t find anything to cause it I have a free account but don’t know if this is the reason it’s not working thanks 

I have a Garmin watch broadcasting HR (via ANT+) to the Garmin 840 cycling computer. But the HR data is not included when Garmin syncs with Strava. Any ideas on what I'm missing?

I was just viewing my heat-map and saw a 'heat line' in an area that I didn't recall ever running there. I tried clicking the 'heat line' to see if it would take me to the activity(ies) that I had run there - it didn't.So, I'm thinking this could be a handy feature, anyone agree?

I created a challenge for my cross country team it is scheduled to start in 2 weeks. I was able to see it under my joined challenges when I made it but now am unable to fine it. where did it go?  😍

Hi,I was reviewing my fitness score and noticed it is not considering my outdoor rides, only those done indoors on Zwift.This affecting my score for the worse.I experimented with the drop downs but couldn't find any settings to fix the issue. Is this a known problem? Thanks in advance

Hi all, I wrote a book called  "Reflections of a Runner:  365 Verses from the Heart"Strava helped me write this book because I use Strava like a journal for thoughts. I took my Strava posts that were reflections/poetry and combined them together into this book, then cut down until I had the 365 best verses in 8 chapters and 85 pages. I was wondering if there was a global stats leader board available? I reckon my 2022 end of year stats were pretty impressive and wondered how they compared with others?

How do you turn on the map controls to allow you to navigate around the heatmap, spin the map in all directions, change the viewing angle, etc. I seem to only be able to zoom.  Thanks

Hi,   Not sure what changed, but the weight training option on my watch is nearly useless. It doesn't show bpm or time, they just stay at a constant 0. Every so often i'll check my watch and it'll show a heart rate and a time of a few seconds, and then just like magic it resets itself to 0. It's also pre-emptively decided my workout is done on it's own mid set. Any thoughts?    Thank you,

Vivaldi is a browser based on Chromium engine, so it should work fine. Edge works fine. This is the desktop version. Mobile app works fine too.The image below is just an example of the first page, but other pages also have issues. 

Good morning everyone.I have started to mix up my runs by going for top spot on segments or at the very least beat my previous PR.I went for a run yesterday and aimed to beat a certain segment. I have got back and checked the segment. It's only a 0.24km segment. Crown holder has done it in 41 seconds. My previous PR was 53s but yesterday I completed it in 42 seconds(Re watching my run on the map it is clear it is 42 seconds) however Strava has my time down as 2m34s? In February of this year, a powerful earthquake hit parts of Turkey & Syria killing more than 49,000 people and leaving millions of others in need of basic life necessities including shelter, food and clean water. Our community members and the folks at Strava wanted to show support to the people affected by this disaster. To raise awareness and help the people of Turkey & Syria, Strava hosted a global challenge. I noticed virtual rowing sessions are now not included our rowing club leaderboard. Is there any way to make the virtual training sessions part of the leaderboard?
